The intent of this award is to recognize a legislator—either a Representative, a Senator, or both—who has demonstrated exceptional legislative leadership and support for Emergency Medical Services in the State of Connecticut. This support may include sponsoring or co-sponsoring legislation, providing leadership to protect EMS programs or funding, advancing policy initiatives that strengthen or safeguard EMS, or other meaningful actions that may not be reflected solely in a legislator’s voting record. This award is not intended to be presented on an annual basis.
